Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how CardComps collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide when signing in (name, email, profile picture via Google or Apple SSO) and data you create within the app (card assessments, collection data, uploaded images).

2. Card Sales and Facebook

If you take part in a card sale, you register with Facebook rather than creating a CardComps account. We receive and store your Facebook account id, your name and your profile picture, and we record the cards you claim and the offers you make. That is all — we do not receive your email address, your password, your friends or anything else on your profile.

The seller running the sale sees your name, your picture, and what you claimed or offered, so they know who they are dealing with and what is owed. Removing CardComps from your Facebook apps and websites settings deletes your buyer record along with your registrations, offers and claim history; see our data deletion page. Records of completed purchases remain with the seller as their account of what they sold, but no longer identify you.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to provide the service, process payments, improve our AI models, and communicate with you about your account. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Card images are stored in AWS S3 and served via CloudFront. Database records are stored in PostgreSQL with encryption at rest.

5. Your Rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. You can delete your account and all associated data from the Settings page.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
