Common questions
- How do I cancel my subscription?
- Subscriptions are billed by Apple, not by us, so cancelling happens in your device settings: Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions › CardComps. On Android it's Google Play › Payments & subscriptions. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until then.
- I'm being charged but the app says I'm not subscribed.
- Tap Restore purchases on the subscription screen — that re-checks your Apple Account or Google account for an existing subscription. It's the usual fix after reinstalling or switching to a new phone. If it still doesn't find one, email us with the address on your store receipt and we'll sort it out.
- What happened to my free trial?
- The free trial is available once per Apple Account or Google account. If you've subscribed to CardComps before, the store won't offer it again — the subscription screen shows the price you'll actually be charged, without a trial, when that's the case.
- The app read my card wrong.
- The search that produced your results sits at the top of the results screen and is editable. Correct it and search again — you're never stuck with what the app guessed. A photo of the back usually helps too: the card number and any serial numbering are printed there.
- My card shows no sold listings.
- That usually means no matching card has sold on that marketplace in the last year, not that something is broken. Try a broader search — drop the parallel or the serial numbering — or switch marketplace. A card with no US sales has often sold in the UK or Australia.
- What do you do with my photos?
- They're used to read the card and then discarded. Nothing is saved to our servers and nothing is attached to a profile, because CardComps has no accounts — there's no sign-up, no email and no password.
- Can I get a refund?
- Refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases are handled by the store, not by us. Apple's is at reportaproblem.apple.com; Google's is in Play › Order history. Email us if you'd like a hand with it.
